Special Drive for JEST CANDIDATES (PhD and Int. PhD admissions)

Applications are invited from prospective candidates for admission to the PhD and Integrated PhD Program at IISER Mohali in the area of Physical Sciences ONLY for the session beginning in September 2021. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED IN OTHER DEPARTMENTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Eligibility Criteria for PhD:

Physical Sciences: The applicant should have a Master’s degree/ B.Tech / M.Tech with a good academic record (at  least a high second class) and should have cleared the JEST national exam in the relevant subject.

Eligibility Criteria for Integrated PhD:

Physical Sciences: The applicant should have a Bachelors degree in Science and related areas with a good academic record (at least 60% aggregate or at least CGPI 6.0 on a scale of 10).

Additional Qualifications: Applicants who have obtained one of the following national-level qualifying examinations, are advised to mention the same in their application form:

IMPORTANT: All candidates should ensure that their application form is complete by downloading the filled application form from ERP. All communication with candidates will be shared by email only and all the announcements will be made in the iisermohali webpage. Applying does not automatically guarantee that a candidate will be shortlisted for an interview. The respective departments may use additional criteria (based on academic performance and/or performance in the national level tests) in order to shortlist candidates for interviews depending on the number of applications received - this particularly applicable when we receive a large number of applicants and conduct an online/offline interview.
