Research Focus

My research interests are in developing simple models of complex biological processes and study them by using tools of statistical physics like generating functions, exact transfer matrix, Monte Carlo and Brownian Dynamics and Molecular Dynamics simulations.

PresentlyPresently, I am working on the following problems:
(1) Dynamical transitions in unzipping of double stranded DNA and adsorbed polymers
(2) Polymer translocation through a narrow pore
(3) Physics of Active matter
