Abstract: We introduce a quantifier of genuine quantum non-Markovianity called squashed quantum non-Markovianity, which is based on quantum conditional mutual information and squashes out all possible non-genuine quantum non-Markovian correlations. This measure is in a similar spirit of squashed entanglement, a faithful entanglement monotone for bipartite quantum systems that squashes out all non-quantum correlations. With this in hand, we are able to introduce a resource theory of genuine quantum non-Markovianity for quantum states and discuss the role or connection of genuine quantum non-Markovianity in some of the operational quantum information processing tasks. Our resource theory has several desirable properties such as convexity, faithfulness, monogamy, super-additivity, and continuity. See https://arxiv.org/abs/2311.18323 for details.

He tries to understand physical laws of nature (universe) from an information-theoretic viewpoint. Apart from a fundamental interest in understanding physical phenomena, it also helps in determining how well we can harness constraints on physical processes and systems to devise information processing, communication, and computational tasks for application purposes.
