Stueckelberg mechanism in beyond Standard Model scenarios
Dr. Radhika Vinze, U. Mumbai & TIFR Mumbai
Location : Conference Room (AB1)
Abstract: Addition of Stueckelberg scalar was one of the more attractive ideas to generate mass for the vector bosons in the electroweak model. However, due to some phenomenological drawbacks it got discarded and the Higgs mechanism was accepted instead and has been experimentally proved to be correct.
Nonetheless, the Stueckelberg mechanism continues to be an attractive option when we consider beyond Standard Model physics. In this seminar, I will discuss its inclusion in two of the beyond Standard Model scenarios, namely (i) supersymmetry and (ii) a U(1) extension of Standard Model.
