Location : Online
Abstract: The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) plays a crucial role in advancing our understanding of fundamental particles and their interactions. This seminar explores key findings from CMS, focusing on the measurement of the Higgs boson's transverse momentum and the search for resonant Di-Higgs production. These studies not only probe the intricacies of the Higgs mechanism and electroweak symmetry breaking but also hint at new physics beyond the Standard Model. Additionally, advancements in Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) detectors, enhancing the CMS experiment's precision, are highlighted. This presentation aims to provide a comprehensive overview of how recent CMS experiment findings contribute to our deeper understanding of the universe's fundamental structure, underscoring the ongoing quest for new discoveries in particle physics.
