Abstract: Deconfined QCD plasma has been produced in relativistic heavy-ion collision experiments at RHIC and LHC. Interestingly the QCD plasma produced in these experiments shows collective dynamics where one can implement a relativistic hydrodynamic framework to model the bulk evolution. Moreover, recent observations of the spin polarization of weakly decaying Lambda hyperons have opened up a new direction to explore the non-trivial vortical structure of the QCD fluid produced in the heavy-ion experiments. A consistent framework of relativistic hydrodynamics with spin degrees of freedom (spin hydrodynamics) is under construction. Such a framework will be helpful for future dynamical simulations of spin polarization. This type of hydrodynamic description is based on the conservation of the total energy and linear momentum as well as the total angular momentum which includes both the orbital and spin parts. I will discuss different theoretical aspects of spin hydrodynamic frameworks, in particular the kinetic theory approach, and entropy current approach. One of the interesting aspects of a spin hydrodynamic approach is the pseudo-gauge dependence, i.e. there is no unique form for the energy-momentum tensor and the spin tensor from a field theory point of view. I will argue different aspects of this pseudo-gauge dependence on the spin hydrodynamic frameworks.
