Exploring the Dark Sector: in the Lab, in the Sky
Anirban Das (Seoul National University)
Location : Online
Abstract: Overwhelming evidence from multiple observations have established the existence of dark matter in our Universe. Even though we know that it forms most of the matter, we do not know anything about its nature. Decades of experiments have not yielded any conclusive detection yet. So it is high time to look beyond the simplest models, and broaden the search for nonstandard theories of particle dark matter and cosmology. In the first part of this talk, I will describe our new proposal to use small superconductor-based quantum devices to look for light dark matter. In the second part, I will describe how we can use the cosmic microwave background data to study secret interactions of neutrinos, and the current status of its link to the Hubble tension.
