Abstract: Higher-order corrections in the Standard Model are essential for precision phenomenology in particle physics. In this talk, I shall discuss precision studies in perturbative theories such as quantum chromodynamics and quantum electrodynamics. These higher-order studies present many conceptual and technical challenges. I will discuss the origin of the conceptual challenges, which would then lead to the understanding of the universal properties of these higher-order corrections. In addition, I will also highlight some of the technical intricacies that arise during these studies. I will discuss how we tackled these challenges in the context of next-to-next-to-leading order computation.
