Shivalik HEPCATS Meeting - Winter 2019

 

 

 

 

On December 7th 2019, IISER Mohali organized the Winter 2019 edition of Shivalik HEPCATS Meeting. These meetings are intended to foster discussions and collaborations among researchers in and around the Shivalik range of the Himalayas. These meetings will take place, ideally once every six months, at various institutes located in the region. The acronym HEPCATS stands for High Energy Physics, Cosmology, Astrophysics, Theory and Simulations. The organizers of the symposium were Dr. Jasjeet Bagla, Dr. Harvinder Kaur Jassal, Dr. Anosh Joseph, Dr. Kinjalk Lochan, Dr. Ambresh Shivaji and Dr. K P Yogendran. The speakers of the symposium were Dr. Shankhadeep Chakrabortty (IIT Ropar), Mr. Arpith Kumar (IISER Mohali), Dr. Ayan Chatterjee (Central University of Himachal Pradesh), Prof. Charanjit Singh Aulakh (IISER Mohali), Dr. Arvind Kumar (NIT Jalandhar), Mr. Manvendra Pratap (IISER Mohali), Dr. Hironori Hoshino (IIT Ropar), Dr. Maguni Mahakhud (IISER Mohali), Dr. Aru Beri (IISER Mohali), Dr. Md Sabir Ali (IIT Ropar), Mr. Ankit Dhanuka (IISER Mohali), Dr. Karunava Sil (IIT Ropar) and Mr. Ranbir Sharma (IISER Mohali). Prof. Jasjeet Bagla and Prof. Charanjit Singh Aulakh delivered the opening remarks. The symposium concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Anosh Joseph.
