Workshop on "Solution-Oriented Approach for Conservation of Water Resources"

The workshop was conducted in cooperation with the EES faculty and Environmental Monitoring Committee on 1^st September 2018. The objective was to sensitize the IISER campus community on the water usage and wastage related aspects at the Institute and to discuss and come up with actionable items for improving water resource management on the campus. The program consisted of a keynote lecture by Prof. S.S. Marwaha (Chairman, Punjab Pollution Control Board), a special talk by Dr. Baerbel Sinha (IISER Mohali) and a panel discussion on Water Resources Management. Based on the talks, panel discussion and inputs from the faculty community, a brief report with a list of actionable items for the effective management of water resources was prepared and submitted to the IISER administration.
