24th Conference of the National Magnetic Resonance Society of India
The 24th meeting of the National Magnetic Resonance Society of India (NMRS-2018) was organized during February 16-19, 2018 at IISER Mohali, with around 250 participants. The Convener of NMRS-2018 was Professor Kavita Dorai (Physical Sciences, IISER Mohali). NMRS-India is a registered society started in the year 1995, with the aim of providing a platform for MR spectroscopists to meet and discuss developments in the area. The society currently has a membership of about 1000 and has several distinguished international scientists as honorary members. The theme of the NMRS-2018 conference was "Frontiers of Interdisciplinary NMR: Applications to Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Medicine", and included sessions on all aspects of magnetic resonance ranging from Biomolecular NMR and Diffusion NMR to NMR Metabolomics and Imaging. Several eminent scientists from Indian and abroad delivered plenary as well as invited talks. Short presentations as well as poster sessions by students and young scientists were also organized. The following awards instituted by the NMR Society of India were presented in the conference: Prof. S.
